It’s sad to see that ‘holier than thou attitude’ rearing its ugly head again, especially when ISLAM itself is being ‘challenged’ and Muslims being ‘attacked’, not only in our country but elsewhere in other parts of the world.
This is a FACT; but sad to observe, the lack of affirmative actions belies or belittle the seriousness of the situation!!!
We feel disgusted when those who wield power and are able to confront and initiate change, choose to be timid and lame!
We are even more abhorred when these hypocrites start to show a sudden surge of concern as a mean and disguise to hide their nonchalant and quiet attitude of the past! Yes, they are hypocrites of the highest order!!!
We in PERKASA do not even for a moment try to be seen as ‘champions of the cause’! We definitely have limitations! BUT if we have that POWER which we certainly don’t, we’ll know what to do!!!
Our limitations, for example as in the case of Dr Zakir Naik, The Rohingya debacle, the Kalimah Allah issue, the Beer Festival, the LGBT festival, the RUU 355 issue, the sacrilege against mosques and surau – to name a few – is clear as day!
Without that power to take affirmative actions, we can only embark on a mission of suggestions, criticisms, demonstrations and protests, all to create awareness in the hope that it will spiral into bigger concerns and actions by those in power!!!
